But, once he reached the age of four he met Master Roshi. Along with Bulma and Krillin. Gohan was born with something that Goku once had and that is a tail. But, Gohan's real adventures begin when Goku's brother appears. Raditz goes around to find Goku but, finds Gohan instead. So he captured Gohan who he thought he could make a lot stronger and make him his servant. So Raditz puts him in a space pod and closes him inside. But, Goku arrives and begins to fight Raditz. When Gohan saw his dad being attacked he broke free and charged at Raditz. He hit him hard and Piccolo finished him with a killing blow (Special Beam Cannon). But, when smoke clears Goku had seemingly died with him.
Gohan was now alone but, then he see's piccolo. Piccolo takes him in and starts to train him. Piccolo was very harsh with his training and he taught Gohan everything he knew. So after training Piccolo and Gohan along with other fighters had to fight Nappa and Vegeta who were the two saiyans left after Goku died. So during the fight Piccolo was struck down while protecting Gohan and seemingly died. So Gohan blasts nappa injuring him. Vegeta was now a great ape and made Gohan so mad that he turned into a Ape and took him down. This shows his true power that he holds. After this event his power does nothing but grow along with his heart.
After Piccolo's death Gohan decided to go find the dragon balls. So he traveled to Namek in search for the balls to bring him back. Thats when freeza appears. He starts to cause havok making all of the fighters to try and take him down. Krillin tries to attack him but, he is striked down. So Gohan attackes freeza bringing the evil prince down. So after that Gohan went and found all of the dragon balls and tried to wish Goku and Piccolo back to life. But, the dragon said no to bringing Goku back and told them that he was still alive. So Piccolo was revived and Goku was out there somewhere. Gohan waited for his father while training with Piccolo.
Gohan's power kept growing as he took down more and more evil. Including villains like Garlic jr. Goku had returned and so Goku along with Piccolo trained Gohan. They started training their hardest when Future Trunks who is Vegeta's future son told them about androids invading the earth. Goku went with Gohan into the Hyperbolic Chamber and trained for a whole day or in this case a year.
So after a couple years Gohan was now ten. He had leveled up to a super saiyan after all of his training. He soon learns about a evil called Cell. He was holding an event called the Cell Games.
Cell announces that his martial arts tournament The Cell Games will be held on live television. Soon afterwards The Z Fighters arrive in their most powerful forms (With the exception of Gohan who was in his Mastered Super Saiyan form as well as Vegeta and Trunks who were not in their Super Saiyan forms). As they arrive Goku announces that he will face Cell first much to Cell's confusion as he "wanted to save the best for last" however nonetheless Goku says he will still fight Cell first but immediately after this is said Mr. Satan (Hercule) arrives with his students Caroni and Piroshki to face Cell. Caroni first attempts to attack Cell from above however Cell quickly sent him higher with an enormous energy attack. Caroni proceeds to fall on the ground and immediately concedes realizing that Cell is in fact tremendously powerful, Piroshki then makes the mistake of rushing towards Cell head-first but he is easily flicked backwards by Cell's aura which overwhelmed Piroshki. Both fighters realize they are no match for Cell and attempt to warn Mr. Satan not to fight him however Mr. Satan quickly confronts Cell and launches a slew of quick punches and kicks that do not even faze Cell who proceeds to flick Mr. Satan into the mountains and after he himself realized he is no match for Cell he fakes to have intense stomach pains in order to avoid fighting Cell, he then proceeds to claim that the techniques displayed in the battle against Cell and The Z Fighters are simple "tricks" or better yet and more specific "illusions".
Goku in his Full Powered Mastered Super Saiyan form engages Cell in an intense battle where he seems to be able to be able to keep up with Cell as the two trade blows and unleash explosive energy in a climatic battle. Much to Goku's surprise Cell used familiar techniques such as the Kamehameha Wave and the Death Beam, as the fight continued Cell eventually became bored of being confined to a tiny ring and proceeded to destroy it turning his fight with Goku into an all-out and complete battle with no rules applied just to make things more interesting for him. As the fight progressed Goku used all of his power and effort going so far as to fly to the sky and begin powering up a very powerful Kamehameha targeted at Cell who was standing on the ground and Cell was noticeably afraid as he claimed that if Goku fired the blast he would destroy the Earth, The Z Fighters also began to fear that Goku may have become seriously desperate to defeat Cell with Krillin saying "Goku's crazy but he's not that crazy". Goku then used the Instant Transmission technique to teleport right in front of Cell and discharged the blast on him which blew more than half of Cell's body off and it had vaporized most of Cell's body. During this time The Z Warriors rejoiced as they believed Cell was defeated until he quickly regenerated and seemed content to continue what he called "A spectacular match" however after seeing this Goku realized that if he continued he would destroy the Earth or he and Cell would die fighting. Goku proceeded to shock everyone by forfeiting the match and reasoned that there was actually someone who could defeat Cell, Goku shocked everyone by stating that Gohan is the one who can defeat Cell and is the one he picked to fight Cell next and the Z Fighters were clearly upset and utterly furious most noticeably Piccolo and Vegeta and typically Cell was amused.
It took quite a while for Gohan to eventually agree to fight and most noticeably for him to become serious. Gohan fought just as well as Goku did and as a Full Powered Super Saiyan he managed to hold his own however The Z Fighters were obviously worried with the exception of Goku who had full confidence that his son could defeat Cell. As Gohan's fight with Cell continued, Gohan continuously told Cell to stop fighting pointing out that the violence was pointless however those words were heard by deaf ears as Cell ignored Gohan's words completely as Gohan began to tell Cell that his latent power if unleashed could seriously kill Cell and destroy everything however that statement only further interested Cell who began to torment Gohan so that he would become angry and unleash his true power so that Cell could see what he could truly do much to Gohan's own horror. Finally not being able to bear watch Cell torture Gohan, Android 16 rushed towards Cell as he wrapped his arms around his torso and threatened to use his self destruct device to kill Cell and himself (suicide) however Krillin quickly informed Android 16 that the self destruct device had been removed long ago by Bulma during repairs. Cell then proceeded to completely destroy Android 16 with the exception of his head that rolled over the battlefield, Cell the continued to say that even if Android 16 had used the bomb it would not have affected him much even though Cell was fearful when he discovered what Anrdoid 16 was intending to do.
After this Cell did the most bizarre act he has so far as he created 7 miniature blue versions of himself from his tail which he called The Cell Jr.'s and after they were born he ordered them to attack and severely beat The Z Fighters but not kill them, he did this so that he could anger Gohan in order for him to show him his true power as Cell found that Gohan's own physical pain will do no good so he decided to see what the pain of the people he cares about will do. Each Cell Jr. nearly had the same power level as Cell. Only Piccolo, Vegeta and Future Trunks in their Super Saiyan 2nd Grade forms managed to fight them and gain the upper hand for a while however they were eventually brutally beaten up by the Cell Jr.'s and even Goku who was weakened from his battle with Cell was severely beaten. Gohan was forced to watch his friends and family be beat up by the malicious minions of Cell as he quickly became truly angry however it was not enough to cause his true power to surface. Cell noticed Gohan's anger and quickly ordered the Cell Jr.'s to kill everyone, Hercule then discovered that the head of Android 16 could still talk, Android 16 then told Hercule to toss near Gohan and Hercule reluctantly did as he was told as Anrdoid 16's head was tossed between Gohan and Cell.
Android 16 proceeded to give words of encouragement to Gohan telling him that sometimes it is okay to fight in order to protect loved ones and protect the nature and animals he loved. Cell overheard the conversation as he claimed that they were good words of advice and then crushed Android 16's head under his foot. This act of cruelty finally caused Gohan to snap, Gohan now enraged to the very limit ascended to a Super Saiyan 2, a slightly tearful Super Saiyan 2 Gohan proceeds to mercilessly kill all of The Cell Jr.'s and Gohan's act quickly impressed and pleased Cell. The amazed and astonished Z Fighters watch in awe except Goku as Gohan now as a Super Saiyan 2 battles the powerful android Cell.
As the fight progresses Gohan gains complete control over the battle much to Cell's irritation and frustration. In a moment of intense rage and frustration Cell powers up and reaches his maximum power and delivers a hard punch to Gohan's face and two everyone's amazement who believed Cell was fighting at full power when he fought Goku moments ago Gohan was not even phased by the punch and with simply 2 punches he nearly incapacitated Cell. Cell quickly began to show fear when Gohan began to effortlessly dodge all of Cell's attacks, easily overpower him and even counter Cell's most powerful Kamehameha at blank point range with his own Kamehameha and when Goku quickly told Gohan to finish him off, Gohan showed a truly sadistic manner and persona as he refused to do as Goku said and proceeded to say that "Cell needs to suffer more" as he began to show slight enjoyment in Cell's suffering. Gohan began taunting Cell much to Cell's humiliation, in a state of uncontrollable rage Cell transformed into his Power Weighed form making the same mistake Future Trunks made by trading his speed for power making him unable to hit Gohan, Gohan ceased his dodging and kicked Cell in the face and then delivered an extremely hard kick to Cell's stomach, the kick was hard enough for Cell to regurgitate Android 18 causing him to revert to his Semi-Perfect form.
Enraged at the outcome of the battle, Cell threatened to destroy the Earth as he began to self destruct. After seeing this Goku stepped in being the only one who knew what to do, Goku used the Instant Transmission as he teleported himself and Cell to King Kai's planet that was then destroyed along with them. In a state of anguish the Z Fighters knew that Goku did what he did for the planet however suddenly a strong wind began to blow as a powerful force was felt everywhere and the force revealed itself to be Cell who was back to his Perfect form only more powerful and in a Super Perfect form, Cell then launched a death beam as it impaled Trunks through the chest, killing him in the process. Cell was able to return to his Perfect Form because the cells in his brain restored the memory of his Perfect Form. Cell had become much stronger because of his Saiyan cells and he was so strong that he referred to himself as "Ultimate Perfection" known by many fans as "Super Perfect Cell". Gohan was actually pleased to see Cell return hoping to avenge his father however Vegeta suddenly charged towards Cell in rage after seeing Trunks his own son killed, Vegeta now a Super Saiyan launched a merciless barrage of energy blasts that had no effect on Cell who simply stood there and proceeded to knock Vegeta to the ground with a simple blow that nearly killed him, in a rare moment Vegeta apologized to Gohan as Cell decided to finish Vegeta off as he launched a powerful energy blast however Gohan quickly jumped in the way as his arm was heavily damaged and broken and rendered useless. Cell pleased at the sight leaped back and began to power up for a Super Kamehameha that he claimed would destroy the entire Solar System, Gohan now had lost all hope and was ready to die.
Goku suddenly began to communicate with Gohan from Other World giving him words of encouragement enough for Gohan to power up and launch a single hand Kamehameha and he engaged Cell in a Kamehameha struggle as neither was pushing the latter' energy blast back. Goku continuously encouraged Gohan enough for Gohan to use his full power in the struggle however it was still not enough as Cell's power began to grow even more, all of the Z Fighters except Vegeta attempted to help Gohan by launching attacks however they were knocked away by Cell's energy. As all hope was lost and Cell began to overpower Gohan he was on the verge of winning Vegeta mustered up all of his pride and powered up to the maximum limit as a Super Saiyan and he launched an energy blast that momentarily distracted Cell who lost concentration and was knocked of balance, Gohan seeing the open opportunity immediately overpowered Cell and ultimately defeated and killed him as Gohan's Kamehameha pushed Cell's Kamehameha back until such time that Cell was completely vaporized by Gohan's attack and the world was now in peace.
Gohan now lives at home and now has a new brother named Goten. Gohan was forced by Chi Chi to go to high school. But, everyonce and awhile he would have to fight some crime before class. Eventually he had another identity and went by Gold Fighter. So inside of schooll he was just Gohan but, outside he was the Gold Fighter. He soon learns that people believe that he didn't actually fight Cell and that Videl did. Videl was the daughter of Hercule and told everyone she took down Cell. Eventually after Videl was spying on him he made a costume and became the Great Saiyaman. but, eventually Videl finds out Gohan is the masked hero and starts to black mail him. She makes him enter the World Martial Arts Tournament and he has to battle her. He also he must teach her how to fly. After a little bit of thinking he agree's again and accepts the terms.
So Gohan enters and learns that Vegeta and Goku have decided to enter too. So Gohan starts to train with his brother Goten. During this time all of Gohan's friends have also joined in. So as Gohan trains with Goten he notices Goten turn into a super saiyan. This was the youngest Super Saiyan yet giving Gohan a even better challenge. Later Videl arrives and they begin to train. He finds that Videl is a goo fighter but, doesn't know how to use energy. But, eventaully he teaches her how to use it. The Tournament was now going to begin shortly.
Gohan made his way to the Tournament and was to fight Kabito. During this fight two men arrive and take all of Gohan's energy. Kabito heals Gohan and follows the men to Babidi's ship. He is then confronted by Dabura. Who is a devil look alitle servant to Babidi. After a brief fight Gohan is shown to have lost power and is not as strong as he was. Vegeta makes fun of him and eventually is brainwashed by Babidi to become his servant. So goku must fight brainwashed vegeta giving off alot of energy. Eventually they gave off so much that Majin Buu was brought back out of his cell. When Gohan tries to fight he is knocked down and hurt. Kabito appears and helps up supreme kai and Gohan. Kabito takes them back and tells gohan about a Z sword. He hands Gohan the sword and he teaches him how to use it. But, when the sword breaks one day Elder Kai appears. He informs him that he can win and does a couple rituals with him. Gohan returns and starts to beat up on Buu.
But, Buu absorbed another fighter and becomes to strong. Vegeta and Goku who were formed together when absorbed were seperated in Buu. they released all of the fighters he absorbed and they escaped but, then Buu became Kid Buu. The new Buu made a attack and destroyed the earth. Goku and vegeta made it out though. But, Gohan was dead. So eventually Goku attacks Buu once more and he learns that everyone had been revived thanks to the dragon balls including Gohan. They all contributed their energy and Goku made a spirit bomb. The attack is launched towards Buu and destroys him for good. After that Buu returned as a good boy that goes by Uub.
The Big Baby
Gohan was living his normal crime fighting life when he learns that a parasite has taken over his brother. The parasite goes by baby and what it does is enters through some type of cut and gains control of you. So his brother Goten starts to fight him and during the fight Gohan starts to win. But, eventually he is cut by Goten and is taken over. The parasite then tries to get to Vegeta and gains control over Vegeta. Goku and the whole gang fight Vegeta. Goku then uses one large attack to destroy the parasite within Vegeta.
The Shadow Dragons
A logn time after everything that had happened Gohan finds out that due to all the wishes made on the dragon balls that the balls turned evil. This made Seven evil Shadow Dragons rise. The dragons cause much havok and destruction but, Pan and Goku help out. They destroy the majority of them but, then Syn Shenron appears. They cannot defeat the powerful evil so they back off. Gohan appears with Goten and Trunks and help Goku out giving him some energy. Shenron tries to attack but Majuub appearsa and fights him off. Majuub is the fusion on Uub with Majin Buu. But, Shenron still tries to fight and hits Gohan hard but, the task was done Goku had his energy back. Goku starts to beat up on Shenron and when everything starts to be looking up Shenron absorbs the dragon balls. He then becomes omega Shenron. Vegeta then arrives and shows his new power by turning into a Super Saiyan 4. After a good battle Vegeta knows he can't win so he looks to Goku. He goes to Goku while the rest of the gang fights off Shenron. They fuse together making Gogeta. He beats the heck out of Shenron but, before killing him they are un fused. Goku thinking they will all die forms a spirit bomb. But, this one was one of the strongest he had ever created and he sends it towards Shenron. The attack kills Shenron instantly. For all the people that had died Goku gives his life to revive them. Gohan eventually dies from old age.
Superhuman Strength: Gohan like all Saiyans possesses vast amounts of physical superhuman strength far above that of any human. Gohan's strength is arguably the greatest at the end of Dragon Ball Z however is vastly surpassed in Dragon Ball GT by other fighters. Gohan's strength has been sufficient enough for him to shatter large rock formations as a child and has on one occasion as a toddler shattered a large mountain-like rock formation by smashing his head on it, he has shown enough physical strength to effortlessly stop a moving car with ease by simply placing his foot on the bumper and it should be noted that he was not serious nor using any degree of his actual strength when doing so and as a teen while in his Super Saiyan form he greatly surprised Goku during their training session in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber when Goku stated that Gohan is far stronger than he expected him to be and even proceeded to say that he was stronger than him however the strength Goku was talking should be considered to be the latent strength of Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 form. As a child while in Super Saiyan 2, Gohan was able to easily dominate Perfect Cell who had defeated every other Z Fighter and could have killed him at any given moment, he also furthered to defeat the Cell Jr.'s with a single blow delivered to each Cell Jr. and it should be noted that the Cell Jr.'s were manhandling the rest of the Z Fighters. As an adult Gohan's strength slightly increased however his skill greatly depleted leading to most people assuming he lost some degree of power and believed he was more powerful as a child however when Gohan had his full power and potential unlocked by Elder Kai he had become the most powerful non fused fighter in Dragon Ball Z as he completely manhandled Super Buu during the time when he was Ultimate or Mystic Gohan to which Piccolo even said that Gohan is dominating Super Buu and he wasn't even a Super Saiyan and it should be noted that even Goku admitted that if he himself had fought Super Buu he would have been killed however Gohan simply dominated Super Buu with no physical effort and for obvious reasons Gohan is able to lift far in the excess of 100 tons to an unknown limit.
Superhuman Durability: Gohan's Saiyan physiology grants him a great deal of superhuman durability as he is able to withstand being shot by high caliber bullets without sustaining injury, has survived being smashed through mountains by powerful energy blasts without seriously injuring himself and was able to survive in a brutal fight against Broly however it should be considered that Broly was not attempting to kill but rather make him suffer by causing immense physical pain. Goku claimed that if he had fought Super Buu he would have been killed while Gohan was able to withstand several blows from Super Buu without even fazing and did not sustain any physical damage. As a teen he was able to hold his own very well against Goku during their training session in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber while Goku was not holding back and Gohan was durable enough to withstand eve Goku's most powerful attacks without losing consciousness.
Superhuman Speed: Gohan like all Saiyans is naturally faster than even the finest human athlete and he moves and reacts at superhuman speeds. Gohan has been seen dodging bullets and while dodging caught some of the bullets in his hands and it should be noted that the bullets were being fired by a machine gun at near blank point range and Gohan caught and dodged the bullets in mere seconds without effort. He has been shown dodging lightning fast attacks and blows that cannot be seen by the human eye and it has been noted that Gohan flies at least faster than 770 mph (the speed of sound).
Energy Manipulation: He possesses vast amounts of energy which he can easily manipulate for various reasons such as energy blasts, energy balls, energy waves, energy shields etc. Gohan can also manipulate ki energy which he uses mostly when launching a kamehameha wave. His energy blasts are functionally powerful enough to destroy spacial bodies such as the Moon and as a teen while in Super Saiyan 2 he nearly incinerated Perfect Cell with a kamehameha wave that was not fully powered and was an attempt to counter Perfect Cell's energy blast which he claimed would destroy the Earth. Gohan can channel the ki energy around him through his body to enhance his power and can gather the ki around him as it appears as a flame-like aura around his body. Gohan can also concentrate ki in specific areas of his body such as creating dense spheres of ki energy in his fists to enhance the physical force delivered by his punches.
Force Fields: Gohan has the ability to manipulate invisible energy to create relatively hard fields of energy designed to protect him from attacks, he has displayed this ability during his fight against Broly in Broly: Second Coming. His force fields are strong enough to protect him from powerful attacks by Super Saiyan Broly (not Legendary Super Saiyan Broly) and he can make his force field larger to cover more area.
Telepathy: Gohan being a Saiyan has the natural ability of telepathy, he can send his thoughts to other people's minds and can functionally read other people's thoughts however he has not shown the ability to create mind attacks.
Flight: Gohan has the average ability a Saiyan has: flight. Gohan has complete mastery over his flight power and can hover, levitate and engage in aerobatic movements while maintaing balance. He is able to fly in areas with intensely high pressures and temperatures.
Superhuman Agility: Gohan possesses superhuman agility, bodily coordination and balance far greater than that of the finest human athlete and is able to engage in complicated acrobatic movements and can utilize his agility to dodge very fast attacks.
Superhuman Stamina: Gohan's muscles and body produces less fatigue poisons than the regular human body and can engage in intense physical activity for days before his body begins to impale him with the production of fatigue toxins.
Unarmed Combat: Gohan is very skillful in some martial arts styles mainly Kung Fu styles such as Shaolin Kung Fu. Gohan learned more fighting styles while training with his father Goku however Gohan is not as skillful as his father in unarmed combat skill.
Super Eating: Gohan has the natural Saiyan ability to consume large amounts of food. Gohan has been seen clearing dinner tables rapidly in hunger and consumes enormous amounts of food however this may due to more of a need of sustenance than an actual lust for food because he has never shown immense lust or any lust for food and only eats enormous amounts of food to replenish his energy.
Great Ape: Gohan like all Saiyans can transform into a giant ape by absorbing light reflected by the Moon (Moonlight) and channeling the light through his body into his tail which triggers a natural reaction that transforms Gohan into a giant ape with blood red eyes, brown fur and a large tail. While in his Great Ape form Gohan retains to no aspect of his personality and is extremely violent, save, brutish, mindless and virtually uncontrollable and he loses a great deal of intelligence while in this transformation. In addition this transformation multiplies Gohan's base power by 10. If Gohan's tail is cut off while he is in this form he will revert back into his base Saiyan form and if his tail is cut off before he transforms he will be unable to transform into a Great Ape unless his tail regrows.
Super Saiyan: Gohan, like nearly all of the Saiyans on Earth, is able to transform into a Super Saiyan. Like all Saiyans, when Gohan is in his Super Saiyan form, his physiological attributes are dramatically increased in strength, speed and more. His energy manipulating abilities are also increased. Gohan's appearance includes upright golden hair, blue eyes, an increase in muscle, and a flame-like golden aura. Gohan's immune system is greatly reduced and he becomes a lot more vulnerable to diseases and this vulnerability is increased in each form after the Super Saiyan. Goha through intense training with Goku in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber is able to reach the physical and mental perfection of the Super Saiyan form dubbed Full Powered Super Saiyan. In the Full Powered Super Saiyan form his power and speed surpasses that of the Androids and is nearly equal to Perfect Cell's power.
Super Saiyan 2: Gohan was the first Saiyan on Earth to ever reach the Super Saiyan 2 or ascended Saiyan form. He first displayed this when he was training with Goku and was knocked down. Due to emotional stress, he momentarily transformed into a Super Saiyan 2 until falling unconscious because of excess wounds during training. He later transformed fully into a Super Saiyan during his battle with Cell when Cell stepped on Android 16's head while 16 was talking to Gohan whom he considered a friend. This caused Gohan to be in much emotional stress as he witnessed his friend be destroyed which triggered the transformation. Gohan's last transformation into the Super Saiyan 2 was during the Majin Buu Saga when he was fighting in a World Tournament. After that day, he was never seen to transform into a Super Saiyan 2 however he did transform into a Super Saiyan 2 prior to the World Tournament in order to fight Broly. Like in all Super Saiyans forms, Gohan's physical attributes are increased dramatically and his power exceeds the previous Super Saiyan form greatly. The appearance of a Super Saiyan 2 are larger muscles to the previous form, the user's hair stands straighter with fewer bangs of hair hanging over the forehead and the hair increases slightly in length and has a more golden colour, and blue electrical arcs occasionally appear (and are more prominent when the user powers up). Gohan's personality also changes from his previous forms since his face remains sterned. The user's personality is more arrogant and confident. Also, the user is more likely to ignore advice from others and has a tendency to display their superior power by showing off. Gohan has displayed a hidden power since childhood and the hidden power is responsible for Gohan's ability to transform into a Super Saiyan 2; however, he never masters this form and the reason for his hidden power is that he is a hybrid Saiyan/Human which was theorized to be more powerful than pure blooded Saiyans.
Mystic or Ultimate Gohan: The Mystic or Ultimate Gohan is not a transformation such as the Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2. It is Gohan's full power and potential unlocked. This is revealed when Elder Kai performs a ceremony to unlock Gohan's latent abilities. When in the Mystic state, Gohan is unable to transform into a Super Saiyan nor Super Saiyan 2 as his full power is already unlocked and he is in his normal form and possesses overall power far greater than the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2. His appearance is slightly different to his normal form though he does not gain golden hair, blue eyes or golden auras, his hair is slightly longer, stands straighter with fewer bangs of hair hanging over the forehead and the hair seems sharper, his muscles become slightly bulkier and increase slightly, he has a white flame-like aura and his personality is changed. His personality is much more confident and arrogant in contrast to the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 forms and the user often grins when displaying or showing off his power and is most likely to show off or display his superior power to his opponent and might brag about his power during a battle. It is not known if Gohan can become a Super Saiyan whilst as Mystic Gohan however in Dragon Ball GT he is seen as a Super Saiyan in the same uniform he wears whilst as Mystic Gohan leading to questions whether he was simply a Super Saiyan or he was actually some form of Super Saiyan Mystic Gohan.

Gohan is a Saiyan/Human hybrid and the son of Goku Son
Gohan as a young boy was home schooled by Chi Chi.
Just a young boy
Gohan was now alone but, then he see's piccolo. Piccolo takes him in and starts to train him. Piccolo was very harsh with his training and he taught Gohan everything he knew. So after training Piccolo and Gohan along with other fighters had to fight Nappa and Vegeta who were the two saiyans left after Goku died. So during the fight Piccolo was struck down while protecting Gohan and seemingly died. So Gohan blasts nappa injuring him. Vegeta was now a great ape and made Gohan so mad that he turned into a Ape and took him down. This shows his true power that he holds. After this event his power does nothing but grow along with his heart.
Goku
After Piccolo's death Gohan decided to go find the dragon balls. So he traveled to Namek in search for the balls to bring him back. Thats when freeza appears. He starts to cause havok making all of the fighters to try and take him down. Krillin tries to attack him but, he is striked down. So Gohan attackes freeza bringing the evil prince down. So after that Gohan went and found all of the dragon balls and tried to wish Goku and Piccolo back to life. But, the dragon said no to bringing Goku back and told them that he was still alive. So Piccolo was revived and Goku was out there somewhere. Gohan waited for his father while training with Piccolo.
Piccolo
Gohan's power kept growing as he took down more and more evil. Including villains like Garlic jr. Goku had returned and so Goku along with Piccolo trained Gohan. They started training their hardest when Future Trunks who is Vegeta's future son told them about androids invading the earth. Goku went with Gohan into the Hyperbolic Chamber and trained for a whole day or in this case a year.
So after a couple years Gohan was now ten. He had leveled up to a super saiyan after all of his training. He soon learns about a evil called Cell. He was holding an event called the Cell Games.
The Cell Games
Cell announces that his martial arts tournament The Cell Games will be held on live television. Soon afterwards The Z Fighters arrive in their most powerful forms (With the exception of Gohan who was in his Mastered Super Saiyan form as well as Vegeta and Trunks who were not in their Super Saiyan forms). As they arrive Goku announces that he will face Cell first much to Cell's confusion as he "wanted to save the best for last" however nonetheless Goku says he will still fight Cell first but immediately after this is said Mr. Satan (Hercule) arrives with his students Caroni and Piroshki to face Cell. Caroni first attempts to attack Cell from above however Cell quickly sent him higher with an enormous energy attack. Caroni proceeds to fall on the ground and immediately concedes realizing that Cell is in fact tremendously powerful, Piroshki then makes the mistake of rushing towards Cell head-first but he is easily flicked backwards by Cell's aura which overwhelmed Piroshki. Both fighters realize they are no match for Cell and attempt to warn Mr. Satan not to fight him however Mr. Satan quickly confronts Cell and launches a slew of quick punches and kicks that do not even faze Cell who proceeds to flick Mr. Satan into the mountains and after he himself realized he is no match for Cell he fakes to have intense stomach pains in order to avoid fighting Cell, he then proceeds to claim that the techniques displayed in the battle against Cell and The Z Fighters are simple "tricks" or better yet and more specific "illusions".
Goku in his Full Powered Mastered Super Saiyan form engages Cell in an intense battle where he seems to be able to be able to keep up with Cell as the two trade blows and unleash explosive energy in a climatic battle. Much to Goku's surprise Cell used familiar techniques such as the Kamehameha Wave and the Death Beam, as the fight continued Cell eventually became bored of being confined to a tiny ring and proceeded to destroy it turning his fight with Goku into an all-out and complete battle with no rules applied just to make things more interesting for him. As the fight progressed Goku used all of his power and effort going so far as to fly to the sky and begin powering up a very powerful Kamehameha targeted at Cell who was standing on the ground and Cell was noticeably afraid as he claimed that if Goku fired the blast he would destroy the Earth, The Z Fighters also began to fear that Goku may have become seriously desperate to defeat Cell with Krillin saying "Goku's crazy but he's not that crazy". Goku then used the Instant Transmission technique to teleport right in front of Cell and discharged the blast on him which blew more than half of Cell's body off and it had vaporized most of Cell's body. During this time The Z Warriors rejoiced as they believed Cell was defeated until he quickly regenerated and seemed content to continue what he called "A spectacular match" however after seeing this Goku realized that if he continued he would destroy the Earth or he and Cell would die fighting. Goku proceeded to shock everyone by forfeiting the match and reasoned that there was actually someone who could defeat Cell, Goku shocked everyone by stating that Gohan is the one who can defeat Cell and is the one he picked to fight Cell next and the Z Fighters were clearly upset and utterly furious most noticeably Piccolo and Vegeta and typically Cell was amused.
Perfect Cell Vs. Super Saiyan Gohan
It took quite a while for Gohan to eventually agree to fight and most noticeably for him to become serious. Gohan fought just as well as Goku did and as a Full Powered Super Saiyan he managed to hold his own however The Z Fighters were obviously worried with the exception of Goku who had full confidence that his son could defeat Cell. As Gohan's fight with Cell continued, Gohan continuously told Cell to stop fighting pointing out that the violence was pointless however those words were heard by deaf ears as Cell ignored Gohan's words completely as Gohan began to tell Cell that his latent power if unleashed could seriously kill Cell and destroy everything however that statement only further interested Cell who began to torment Gohan so that he would become angry and unleash his true power so that Cell could see what he could truly do much to Gohan's own horror. Finally not being able to bear watch Cell torture Gohan, Android 16 rushed towards Cell as he wrapped his arms around his torso and threatened to use his self destruct device to kill Cell and himself (suicide) however Krillin quickly informed Android 16 that the self destruct device had been removed long ago by Bulma during repairs. Cell then proceeded to completely destroy Android 16 with the exception of his head that rolled over the battlefield, Cell the continued to say that even if Android 16 had used the bomb it would not have affected him much even though Cell was fearful when he discovered what Anrdoid 16 was intending to do.
After this Cell did the most bizarre act he has so far as he created 7 miniature blue versions of himself from his tail which he called The Cell Jr.'s and after they were born he ordered them to attack and severely beat The Z Fighters but not kill them, he did this so that he could anger Gohan in order for him to show him his true power as Cell found that Gohan's own physical pain will do no good so he decided to see what the pain of the people he cares about will do. Each Cell Jr. nearly had the same power level as Cell. Only Piccolo, Vegeta and Future Trunks in their Super Saiyan 2nd Grade forms managed to fight them and gain the upper hand for a while however they were eventually brutally beaten up by the Cell Jr.'s and even Goku who was weakened from his battle with Cell was severely beaten. Gohan was forced to watch his friends and family be beat up by the malicious minions of Cell as he quickly became truly angry however it was not enough to cause his true power to surface. Cell noticed Gohan's anger and quickly ordered the Cell Jr.'s to kill everyone, Hercule then discovered that the head of Android 16 could still talk, Android 16 then told Hercule to toss near Gohan and Hercule reluctantly did as he was told as Anrdoid 16's head was tossed between Gohan and Cell.
Android 16 proceeded to give words of encouragement to Gohan telling him that sometimes it is okay to fight in order to protect loved ones and protect the nature and animals he loved. Cell overheard the conversation as he claimed that they were good words of advice and then crushed Android 16's head under his foot. This act of cruelty finally caused Gohan to snap, Gohan now enraged to the very limit ascended to a Super Saiyan 2, a slightly tearful Super Saiyan 2 Gohan proceeds to mercilessly kill all of The Cell Jr.'s and Gohan's act quickly impressed and pleased Cell. The amazed and astonished Z Fighters watch in awe except Goku as Gohan now as a Super Saiyan 2 battles the powerful android Cell.
As the fight progresses Gohan gains complete control over the battle much to Cell's irritation and frustration. In a moment of intense rage and frustration Cell powers up and reaches his maximum power and delivers a hard punch to Gohan's face and two everyone's amazement who believed Cell was fighting at full power when he fought Goku moments ago Gohan was not even phased by the punch and with simply 2 punches he nearly incapacitated Cell. Cell quickly began to show fear when Gohan began to effortlessly dodge all of Cell's attacks, easily overpower him and even counter Cell's most powerful Kamehameha at blank point range with his own Kamehameha and when Goku quickly told Gohan to finish him off, Gohan showed a truly sadistic manner and persona as he refused to do as Goku said and proceeded to say that "Cell needs to suffer more" as he began to show slight enjoyment in Cell's suffering. Gohan began taunting Cell much to Cell's humiliation, in a state of uncontrollable rage Cell transformed into his Power Weighed form making the same mistake Future Trunks made by trading his speed for power making him unable to hit Gohan, Gohan ceased his dodging and kicked Cell in the face and then delivered an extremely hard kick to Cell's stomach, the kick was hard enough for Cell to regurgitate Android 18 causing him to revert to his Semi-Perfect form.
Enraged at the outcome of the battle, Cell threatened to destroy the Earth as he began to self destruct. After seeing this Goku stepped in being the only one who knew what to do, Goku used the Instant Transmission as he teleported himself and Cell to King Kai's planet that was then destroyed along with them. In a state of anguish the Z Fighters knew that Goku did what he did for the planet however suddenly a strong wind began to blow as a powerful force was felt everywhere and the force revealed itself to be Cell who was back to his Perfect form only more powerful and in a Super Perfect form, Cell then launched a death beam as it impaled Trunks through the chest, killing him in the process. Cell was able to return to his Perfect Form because the cells in his brain restored the memory of his Perfect Form. Cell had become much stronger because of his Saiyan cells and he was so strong that he referred to himself as "Ultimate Perfection" known by many fans as "Super Perfect Cell". Gohan was actually pleased to see Cell return hoping to avenge his father however Vegeta suddenly charged towards Cell in rage after seeing Trunks his own son killed, Vegeta now a Super Saiyan launched a merciless barrage of energy blasts that had no effect on Cell who simply stood there and proceeded to knock Vegeta to the ground with a simple blow that nearly killed him, in a rare moment Vegeta apologized to Gohan as Cell decided to finish Vegeta off as he launched a powerful energy blast however Gohan quickly jumped in the way as his arm was heavily damaged and broken and rendered useless. Cell pleased at the sight leaped back and began to power up for a Super Kamehameha that he claimed would destroy the entire Solar System, Gohan now had lost all hope and was ready to die.
Goku suddenly began to communicate with Gohan from Other World giving him words of encouragement enough for Gohan to power up and launch a single hand Kamehameha and he engaged Cell in a Kamehameha struggle as neither was pushing the latter' energy blast back. Goku continuously encouraged Gohan enough for Gohan to use his full power in the struggle however it was still not enough as Cell's power began to grow even more, all of the Z Fighters except Vegeta attempted to help Gohan by launching attacks however they were knocked away by Cell's energy. As all hope was lost and Cell began to overpower Gohan he was on the verge of winning Vegeta mustered up all of his pride and powered up to the maximum limit as a Super Saiyan and he launched an energy blast that momentarily distracted Cell who lost concentration and was knocked of balance, Gohan seeing the open opportunity immediately overpowered Cell and ultimately defeated and killed him as Gohan's Kamehameha pushed Cell's Kamehameha back until such time that Cell was completely vaporized by Gohan's attack and the world was now in peace.
Gohan now lives at home and now has a new brother named Goten. Gohan was forced by Chi Chi to go to high school. But, everyonce and awhile he would have to fight some crime before class. Eventually he had another identity and went by Gold Fighter. So inside of schooll he was just Gohan but, outside he was the Gold Fighter. He soon learns that people believe that he didn't actually fight Cell and that Videl did. Videl was the daughter of Hercule and told everyone she took down Cell. Eventually after Videl was spying on him he made a costume and became the Great Saiyaman. but, eventually Videl finds out Gohan is the masked hero and starts to black mail him. She makes him enter the World Martial Arts Tournament and he has to battle her. He also he must teach her how to fly. After a little bit of thinking he agree's again and accepts the terms.
Older Gohan
So Gohan enters and learns that Vegeta and Goku have decided to enter too. So Gohan starts to train with his brother Goten. During this time all of Gohan's friends have also joined in. So as Gohan trains with Goten he notices Goten turn into a super saiyan. This was the youngest Super Saiyan yet giving Gohan a even better challenge. Later Videl arrives and they begin to train. He finds that Videl is a goo fighter but, doesn't know how to use energy. But, eventaully he teaches her how to use it. The Tournament was now going to begin shortly.
Gohan made his way to the Tournament and was to fight Kabito. During this fight two men arrive and take all of Gohan's energy. Kabito heals Gohan and follows the men to Babidi's ship. He is then confronted by Dabura. Who is a devil look alitle servant to Babidi. After a brief fight Gohan is shown to have lost power and is not as strong as he was. Vegeta makes fun of him and eventually is brainwashed by Babidi to become his servant. So goku must fight brainwashed vegeta giving off alot of energy. Eventually they gave off so much that Majin Buu was brought back out of his cell. When Gohan tries to fight he is knocked down and hurt. Kabito appears and helps up supreme kai and Gohan. Kabito takes them back and tells gohan about a Z sword. He hands Gohan the sword and he teaches him how to use it. But, when the sword breaks one day Elder Kai appears. He informs him that he can win and does a couple rituals with him. Gohan returns and starts to beat up on Buu.
Buu
The Big Baby
Gohan was living his normal crime fighting life when he learns that a parasite has taken over his brother. The parasite goes by baby and what it does is enters through some type of cut and gains control of you. So his brother Goten starts to fight him and during the fight Gohan starts to win. But, eventually he is cut by Goten and is taken over. The parasite then tries to get to Vegeta and gains control over Vegeta. Goku and the whole gang fight Vegeta. Goku then uses one large attack to destroy the parasite within Vegeta.
The Shadow Dragons
A logn time after everything that had happened Gohan finds out that due to all the wishes made on the dragon balls that the balls turned evil. This made Seven evil Shadow Dragons rise. The dragons cause much havok and destruction but, Pan and Goku help out. They destroy the majority of them but, then Syn Shenron appears. They cannot defeat the powerful evil so they back off. Gohan appears with Goten and Trunks and help Goku out giving him some energy. Shenron tries to attack but Majuub appearsa and fights him off. Majuub is the fusion on Uub with Majin Buu. But, Shenron still tries to fight and hits Gohan hard but, the task was done Goku had his energy back. Goku starts to beat up on Shenron and when everything starts to be looking up Shenron absorbs the dragon balls. He then becomes omega Shenron. Vegeta then arrives and shows his new power by turning into a Super Saiyan 4. After a good battle Vegeta knows he can't win so he looks to Goku. He goes to Goku while the rest of the gang fights off Shenron. They fuse together making Gogeta. He beats the heck out of Shenron but, before killing him they are un fused. Goku thinking they will all die forms a spirit bomb. But, this one was one of the strongest he had ever created and he sends it towards Shenron. The attack kills Shenron instantly. For all the people that had died Goku gives his life to revive them. Gohan eventually dies from old age.
Powers
Superhuman Strength: Gohan like all Saiyans possesses vast amounts of physical superhuman strength far above that of any human. Gohan's strength is arguably the greatest at the end of Dragon Ball Z however is vastly surpassed in Dragon Ball GT by other fighters. Gohan's strength has been sufficient enough for him to shatter large rock formations as a child and has on one occasion as a toddler shattered a large mountain-like rock formation by smashing his head on it, he has shown enough physical strength to effortlessly stop a moving car with ease by simply placing his foot on the bumper and it should be noted that he was not serious nor using any degree of his actual strength when doing so and as a teen while in his Super Saiyan form he greatly surprised Goku during their training session in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber when Goku stated that Gohan is far stronger than he expected him to be and even proceeded to say that he was stronger than him however the strength Goku was talking should be considered to be the latent strength of Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 form. As a child while in Super Saiyan 2, Gohan was able to easily dominate Perfect Cell who had defeated every other Z Fighter and could have killed him at any given moment, he also furthered to defeat the Cell Jr.'s with a single blow delivered to each Cell Jr. and it should be noted that the Cell Jr.'s were manhandling the rest of the Z Fighters. As an adult Gohan's strength slightly increased however his skill greatly depleted leading to most people assuming he lost some degree of power and believed he was more powerful as a child however when Gohan had his full power and potential unlocked by Elder Kai he had become the most powerful non fused fighter in Dragon Ball Z as he completely manhandled Super Buu during the time when he was Ultimate or Mystic Gohan to which Piccolo even said that Gohan is dominating Super Buu and he wasn't even a Super Saiyan and it should be noted that even Goku admitted that if he himself had fought Super Buu he would have been killed however Gohan simply dominated Super Buu with no physical effort and for obvious reasons Gohan is able to lift far in the excess of 100 tons to an unknown limit.
Superhuman Durability: Gohan's Saiyan physiology grants him a great deal of superhuman durability as he is able to withstand being shot by high caliber bullets without sustaining injury, has survived being smashed through mountains by powerful energy blasts without seriously injuring himself and was able to survive in a brutal fight against Broly however it should be considered that Broly was not attempting to kill but rather make him suffer by causing immense physical pain. Goku claimed that if he had fought Super Buu he would have been killed while Gohan was able to withstand several blows from Super Buu without even fazing and did not sustain any physical damage. As a teen he was able to hold his own very well against Goku during their training session in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber while Goku was not holding back and Gohan was durable enough to withstand eve Goku's most powerful attacks without losing consciousness.
Superhuman Speed: Gohan like all Saiyans is naturally faster than even the finest human athlete and he moves and reacts at superhuman speeds. Gohan has been seen dodging bullets and while dodging caught some of the bullets in his hands and it should be noted that the bullets were being fired by a machine gun at near blank point range and Gohan caught and dodged the bullets in mere seconds without effort. He has been shown dodging lightning fast attacks and blows that cannot be seen by the human eye and it has been noted that Gohan flies at least faster than 770 mph (the speed of sound).
Energy Manipulation: He possesses vast amounts of energy which he can easily manipulate for various reasons such as energy blasts, energy balls, energy waves, energy shields etc. Gohan can also manipulate ki energy which he uses mostly when launching a kamehameha wave. His energy blasts are functionally powerful enough to destroy spacial bodies such as the Moon and as a teen while in Super Saiyan 2 he nearly incinerated Perfect Cell with a kamehameha wave that was not fully powered and was an attempt to counter Perfect Cell's energy blast which he claimed would destroy the Earth. Gohan can channel the ki energy around him through his body to enhance his power and can gather the ki around him as it appears as a flame-like aura around his body. Gohan can also concentrate ki in specific areas of his body such as creating dense spheres of ki energy in his fists to enhance the physical force delivered by his punches.
Force Fields: Gohan has the ability to manipulate invisible energy to create relatively hard fields of energy designed to protect him from attacks, he has displayed this ability during his fight against Broly in Broly: Second Coming. His force fields are strong enough to protect him from powerful attacks by Super Saiyan Broly (not Legendary Super Saiyan Broly) and he can make his force field larger to cover more area.
Telepathy: Gohan being a Saiyan has the natural ability of telepathy, he can send his thoughts to other people's minds and can functionally read other people's thoughts however he has not shown the ability to create mind attacks.
Flight: Gohan has the average ability a Saiyan has: flight. Gohan has complete mastery over his flight power and can hover, levitate and engage in aerobatic movements while maintaing balance. He is able to fly in areas with intensely high pressures and temperatures.
Superhuman Agility: Gohan possesses superhuman agility, bodily coordination and balance far greater than that of the finest human athlete and is able to engage in complicated acrobatic movements and can utilize his agility to dodge very fast attacks.
Superhuman Stamina: Gohan's muscles and body produces less fatigue poisons than the regular human body and can engage in intense physical activity for days before his body begins to impale him with the production of fatigue toxins.
Unarmed Combat: Gohan is very skillful in some martial arts styles mainly Kung Fu styles such as Shaolin Kung Fu. Gohan learned more fighting styles while training with his father Goku however Gohan is not as skillful as his father in unarmed combat skill.
Super Eating: Gohan has the natural Saiyan ability to consume large amounts of food. Gohan has been seen clearing dinner tables rapidly in hunger and consumes enormous amounts of food however this may due to more of a need of sustenance than an actual lust for food because he has never shown immense lust or any lust for food and only eats enormous amounts of food to replenish his energy.
